London Fashion Week!!! #HouseofiKons #FashinHull

Wow!!! That’s all I can say. I have only just recovered from the long weekend! I don’t even think I have fully recovered to be honest… Sleep for a week is needed for sure!

In the run up to London fashion week and all the crazy up and coming events.
Friday was super busy and an amazing day, I had so many wonderful new and old Models in to come join my #FashinHull Team!

Saturday was a 1:30am start to prepare for London to get on the coach from 3am to head down to London for #HouseofiKons!!!! Exhausting but most definitely fun and eventful! Working Front of House with my Fantastic Volunteers was beyond amazing and everyone did me super proud.

So this year didn't fail to impress with some amazing designers taking the catwalk by storm! Not only that, we had some of our very on local talent on the runway!!!

House of iKons took place on Saturday 18th February 2017, returning to the Millennium Hotel in London’s Mayfair with 18 designers and two musical acts in two shows!
Run by the CEO, Savita Kaye.

Savita Kaye’s ambition is for House of iKons to be a global brand, known for launching emerging designers. Working with global media partners has enabled House of iKons shows to be aired worldwide to millions of viewers. This February we saw the likes of Channel 7 (AUS), BBC, BritRox TV and various other press and media.

In addition to House of iKons DURING London Fashion Week, shows have taken place in Los Angeles, Beijing, Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Launching in its sixth city Manila, Philipines October 2017.
From this unique platform, Designers have been signed to departments stores, boutiques, wardrobe for music videos and working with major celebrities such as JLo, Katy Perry, Lady Ga Ga, Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, Tyra Banks to name but a few.

House of iKons has been created as a platform to launch emerging designers to the next level. Models and presenters who have taken part with the House of iKons shows here in London, Dubai and Los Angeles have also benefited. Working in TV and film.

Not only does Lady K support emerging fashion designers, she also collaborates with emerging musicians in which during the February 2017 Show we saw the likes of 'Lydia Singer' and the Girl Group 'Limited Edition'. Merging with the music scene, Lady K Production has also joined forces with BritRox TV.

MUSIC PERFORMANCE BY 'LYDIA SINGER'

With the Grand Opening focusing on Children's Clothing we saw some of the cutest models with some of the most amazing personalities strutting down the catwalk, wear oversized jackets, Chic- Capes, additional fur accents and crazy bat winged jackets! Isossy Clothing was turning everyone into chic princes and princesses. 

Next came Nicola Jane with her swimwear collection, using block colours and patterned fabrics separately and combined to create Simple but effective costumes and two pieces.

Naforrer by Farhanna Pura all the way from Brunei came next, bringing their home of grown, fishtail dresses, jumpsuits/cigarette trousers. The soft floaty fabrics, creating silhouettes and elegant body shapes.


NNC London, following the ever growing oversized trend of casual clothing, A mix of men and womenswear. Images featuring two of our Hull Models. Ryan Mowforth and Yvie McCormick.  NNC London is even bringing the embroidery trend, combining it with the neutral and nude toned jackets, shirts/Tees.

JOLIE shows an Eastern influence, the floor length kimonos creating less structured shapes create the dress type look , dresses and jackets. The floral embroidery and detailed waists, cuffs and collars all reflected a definite Eastern influence.

Centre show came the performance of 'Limited Edition' A Girl band seen to the left; An up and coming band.

Following came DK House of Fashion which focal points came from Fur cuffs, coats and collars and peplum leather jackets. The fairy-tale chic is what comes to mind when you see the collection, featuring Little Red Riding Hood... Blended with the Wolf. I adore the Little Red Riding Hood Look.

Next came JayBank Shoes A 'sole' men’s shoe brand  which
showcased leather and suede boat shoes, with soles of red. Shoes of the Gentlemen.



One of the most versatile collections came from EmMarie by Emma Curtis which displayed classy co-ords, jumpsuits and pencil skirts. Making use of a mix in materials such as leather and satin, this classy yet fun collection hints at the style of the 80s.

The Grande finale came from Shaleena Nowbuth her collection consisted of hareems and cropped tops and Rara skirts; Her collection was elegant and classy with bold reds, olives and light greens.

With a networking and stall exhibition  break before the evening show, the guests, designers, models and team all connected, participated in interviews at the press board and captured glam picture and selfies galore. In the evening, spectators watched outfits by Niche Clothing for the grand opening. Streetlethic by Reka Orosz, Ana Bella Millinery ft Bel Cappello, Raquel Sutherland, Sonder Wear, Caroline Coco, AMIRAB, Beyond Label by Andreea Deaconu and Dimple Amrin took the runway.

To open the show came Niche Clothing, first seen being worn by entertainment girl group Limited Edition, wearing fitted catsuits embellished with glitter and mesh. As Well as slitted legs and mens shirts; Niche clothing sign their clothes with an 'N' making the signature pieces.

Following comes one of House of iKons ladies of fashion; Bringing  her brand Streetlethic by Reka Orosz with the knitted detailing on cuffs and necks. Reka even brought the poncho back to life with patchwork and oversized garments.

Ana Bella Millinery ft Bel Cappellowa brought some beautiful pieces and showcased all things feminine, with elegant lace overlays and statement headpieces. The whole collection speaks classic, strong, elegant and femanine. It reminds me very much of a lend of 70s and 30s fashion.


Raquel Sutherland designed a line for “everyday wardrobes” in an array of summery garments with a slight theme of red and blue patterns.

Stealing some breaths came Sonder Wear which seemed to be a crowd favourite The garments combined  mesh, silks and lace a Designer Abbie Knowlson is following-trend with her harness detail bras and playful underwear high-waisted pants, a current favourite in the fashion forecast. The garments consisted of delicate details and elegant laces.

Caroline Cocos eye-catching, bold and geometric clothing.had creative structuring with sharp shoulders, lines and shapes in order to create different shapes and body complimenting silhouettes.

AMIRAB showcases , ethnic gowns, with modern and artistic patterns and fabric; an array of head scarfs used ethically but also to accessories and accent the garments.

Beyond Label by Andreea Deaconu had a variation from sparkly flared trousers/jumpsuits, fitted pencil skirts, and fishtail gowns, she definitely brought out something for everyone, no matter of age or size.

Then came the amazing performance from Lydia SInger! Who blew us aways and took to the stage like no other!
Performing her current single 'Wreckless' raw emotion and pure soul flooded the stage.

The grande Final came from Dimple.Amrin; a collection which you saw true meaning, which the lovley CEO Savita Kaye even introduced the collection; The line was built on the grounds of Gender Equality, painting a picture about the portrayal of women with society. The garments mixed messages of empowerment, vulnerability, elegance and strength. This incorporated with the makeup and facepaints created an atmosphere which the audience was enthralled in. Despite not being everyones cup of tea, the tears, thoughts and concept was seen by all.


Overall the both shows brought and array of the collections, with beautiful gowns filled with frills, glitter. A mix of mens and womenwear made sure everyone locked eyes on something. As you may have guessed I'll be back in September 2017!! See you then! Might even vlog this one too!
